Drawing

One of the fundamental skill that all artists must have is an underlying ability to draw. It doesn't matter what medium an artist chooses to specialise in, be it digital art, sculpture or painting, every artist must have innate understanding of drawing.

There are however a few artists who specialise in drawing as an end medium.

Illustration

The art market can be a difficult area to break into as an artist, so it is not surprising that a great many individuals, who have an innate artistic ability, tend to find a creative out let that also allows them to make a living.

One such avenue is the growing medium of illustration. It is arguable that illustration has become the new 'fine art'. More people are likely to come across and appreciate artwork used in advertising or publishing than to visit an art gallery.
