Collect 2006 has been organised by the British Crafts Council, and will take place at the Victoria & Albert Museum [London].
The event was founded in 2004 to raise the public profile of contemporary crafts artists and designers.
The artworks on show have been produced by artists and designers from all corners of the UK. With a

growing reputation as one of Europe's most prestigious contemporary applied arts fairs, Collect also attracts many international artists.
Collect 2006 will feature 42 galleries, representing many celebrated artists working in glass, ceramics, textiles, art jewellery and furniture.

To help stimulate critical
debate about the applied arts, a series of
events, exhibitions and talks have been organised to coincide with Collect 2006. Held under the banner London COLLECTion, these activities will take place throughout London. For full details visit:

With more that 10,000 visitors each year, attracting buyers and exhibitors from around the world, Collect 2006 promises to be
asuccessful as it has in previous years.
There is no doubting that this event has certainly secured its position as one of the most anticipated events on the international cultural calendar.
